Ahh, finally some peace to be had!

So, wow, lots of new changes and stuff!

The past two weeks have been all about job and flat hunting!!! There's been ups and there's been downs! But now things are looking up! Two of my mates came down to Sydney today, they've been in Bowen where I left them 4 weeks ago, and the two of them and the two mates I've been with from the start, moved in to their new flat today! I will be going over to them later this evening to check it out! There's more news tho! They've got labouring work, I got a job at a clotghing store called Esprit and today I went to look at some share flats! A few crappy ones, but then I found this cool place. It's a penthous in an appartment complex right next to Hyde park! Nice views, close to work, the parties and shops! It's not big, has a combined kitchen and livingroom, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies. It also has a pool and a sauna=) I'm sharing a room with 3 french girls, so that should be fun=) The atmosphere of the place seemed fun and relaxed, and i just fell for the place straight away! Free internet too, now i just need a computer..

Anyway, I move in on december 1, and I'll prob stay until January soem time..

So now I can start exploring Sydney, save up for the east coast, get my christmas on and just enjoy=) I've been very lucky, one of my mates had to go home cause he ran out of money=( To of my girlfriends might be leaving right after christmas since they haven't got jobs!

Mom and dad will be calling shortly, so that's all for now=)

Kathrins back in town!

So spontainus as we are, we got on a plane and left for Sydney which is where I am now! Sydney round 2! My second first impression of Sydney i sgood=) It's warm here now, it's buzzing with life and I'm with a bunch of awesome friends=)

So what's new with me ey?
Well first of all I've started to use a bunch of new words and slang, unfortunatly not aussie words and slang but english! I use words like : recon, half 5, twat, spas, sick (as in vomit),ey( whish i picked up from my scottish pal), I have picked up a few aussie words like thongs(flip flops), barbie-bbq and one kiwi sentence-sweet as meaning i agree to what u are saying. I've learned the meaning and usage of the "x" in texts and stuff=)
I drink te now! yey=)
I'm learning a few simple cooking tricks.
I eat green and red peppers, really, i can eat anything these days!
My nickname is Norway
My cothes are worn out
I can't wait to get an apartment and a christmas tree
I would like to go to Uni in England
oh, and I really have to use the bathroom right now..Bye!

Bowen was pretty crap! It was a pretty boring place, absolutely nothing to do! Tomato picking sucked big time! First we got up at 5 and got to the farm just to be sent back! Then we got up at 5 again, worked for 12 hours getting only a 10 min break ad a 20 min break the whole day! Then all we ended up earning was 38 bucks...It sucked!!
Then Magnetic Island was amazing! =) We were going to stay at a hostel, but when we got to the ferry terminal and mentioned to the ferry dude that we were staying at that hostel, he said it was kinda crap...so we got spontaneous and got a house! It was so great! After sharing a dirty bathroom and kitchen, sleeping with a minimum of 4 other people it was nice getting ur on space! We had our own pool and everything too! We spent the days just lounging around, swiming, watching some junk tv, making food,cake, pancakes and going out in the evenings! It was so nice, we've become like a little family=) 5 girls and 3 boys=) One of the days we also rented a topless car that we drove around the island with, cheking out the different bays, went for a hike and saw this amazing view! It was awesome! =) Then after 8 nights in our house we headed to a hostel called base for 3 nights, this is also the place we attended the foolmoon party which was pretty cool! Now we're in Townsville and hopefully I'll get a job here! I'm kinda running out of money, so need to get real strict on myself!

Magnetic Island!

Soo, really I need to write an update blog, tell u all about everything that's happened! But i don't feel like it right now...will do it later tho! Will write a short summary!

Been to Cairns, had a great time at this hostel called Gilligans! Had an amazing 3 days up In Cape Tribulation! Came back down to Cairns again for a few nights, Went down to Mission beach, stayed 2 nights, was to issolated and boring for me, and just not the right place to be for me at that time! Did an amazingf skydive over the great barrier reef, landing on the beach! That was truly amazing!=)

Went to Townsville for a night, got work picking tomatoes in Bowen, left for Bowen, worked twelve hours and earned 150kr!!! So didn't go back to work... stayed there a week, not much to do! Nice beach tho!

Last wednesday we all catched the greyhound bus back up to Magnetic Island where I am at the moment! Me, 4 girls and 2 guys have rented a nice little house with a bbq and pool! We have our own livingroom,kitchen,laundrymachine and even a dishwasher!
We're having an awesome time! The guys are a bit messy tho, oh well! Last night we had girlsnight in, watching mean girls and I baked my chocolate chip cake, yum! I'm going back after this to have some for breakfast=) Magnetic Island is nice! The weather isn't the best a6 the moment which makes it even better that we have a house=)

We went out to this club a few nights, not much life, at least not until we came! We brought the party, haha. It was fun tho! There's hardly any signal out here, I get some signal on a spesific point on my bed and in the kitchen corner..so yeah, that kinda sucks! It's halloween today, we're all getting dressed up and going out tonight! We're also going to go get a pumpkin and carve it later!! And on Monday we're gonan rent one of these small, topless barbiecars and explore the island=) Can't wait!
Also There's a foolmoon party on the beach in a few days that we will be attending! Fun Fun, not sure what or where I'm going after Maggie, but i have a few days to figure it out! Hope everyone is doing good, miss u all so so much!

Cairns babe!

So I landed in Cairns yesterday evening! I lucked out and got one of the last seats on the plane=) Oh yeah!!! So I'm staying at this hostel called Gilligans and it's fabolus! I'm so glad ti be out of sydney! cairns is amazing!!! Really preyy and laid back and just aaaahhhh I love it! Kinda reminds me of St. augustine!
Went out for breakfast this morning! had an american breakfast, pancakes with mape sirup eggs and bacon=) Awesome! Then went to this cool man made lagoon right by the sea, really lovely! It's 30 celcius here and sunny! Just chilling out and having fun! More peeps from our group are coming today! whiopee! Then on Sunday We're going to Cape tribulation for 2 nights to go jungle surfing and trek in the rainforest! Can't wait!!!! I cant explain how much fun I'm having, this is the best decission I could have ever made! I'm having the best time of my life!!!

Time to get moving! Enjoy life, it's important!

Surfing and Blue Mountains

So in the last couple of days I've tried to learn to surf ,barebequed and hiked in the Blue Mountains!
Surfing was amazing! It was so much fun! We had to wear wet suits which was really not flattering on me but who cares=P The water was freeezing,Shocking right?? It's Sydney man, it's supposed to be warm!!!! But i got used to it after a while, and the suit did help a little bit... Anyway! I managed to stand up twice! And i was so proud of myself! It was quite hard but so worth it! I really want to try and surf some more! I have some pictures from that day that I will load to facebook in a while..

Then we had a beach day! We sunbathed and splashed around in the water a bit before doing a coastal walk to another beach where the barbequ was hot and ready! We ate and drank and had a blast!v It was a beautiful day, pictures from this days will also be coming!

Today we were at the Blue mountains! It was a really beautiful place! We walked for a few hours exploring the beautiful forest and mountains! There was tonns of awesome waterfalls and just absolutely beautiful!! We had lunch up there overlooking the misty forest!

Sunday I will be switching hostels to a place in central sydney before heading out to Cairns on Thursday! Yey, then I will be making my way back to Sydney so I'm here for christmas=) I have a lot to plan and I have my room to myself tonight cause everyone is going out! Not up for it tonight though, been out every night this week!

Anyway, I'm alive and good, pics will be up soon! Hope all is well with everyone!

Sydney-Coogee Beach=)

Ok, so now I'm in Sydney, Coogee Beach! So far I've jetboated around Sydney Harbour-Really cool! Saw the opera house and the bridge and all that good stuff=) Today I got my new bank card for my ozzy bank, I have my new sim, will post nr when I'm ready to use the new sim=) We strolled around abit and wnt to the aquarium!+0 loads of fun, but not as good as say Baltimore=)
I'm really glad the ravens won both of the previous games and can't wait until the next one! Found a bar that shows the games=) whooopee!! Think I'll fly to cairns on thursday and start me coastal exploring from there! Will try and find work and just ghave fun=) Will be in Sydney from the 20th of December, hope my family will be there too=) Met some peolpe I might travel with but also want to go visit some of my new aussie friends=) Miss them so so much=) Have posted some pics on facebook, but i can only use the simple uploader here, so takes FOREVER so will do some now, some later and so on=)

buhuuuuuuuu=(

So my time at Harnas is over and I'm really quite depressed! I'm at my hostel In Windhoek and I've just said goodbyt to two of the people I got the closest to! It was hard enough leaving on thursday, but at least the people i had gotten to know the best were leaving with me..but now they're gone too! i miss them so much! Luckily some of them live in Oz, which is my next step, so at least I can see them in a few weeks, and I'll see my Acosta in April!
I really can't believe that a month has passed allready! it's gone to fast! Next time I go to Harnas things will be different, not the same people or animals will be there! I miss chilling with the lions, getting my face licked by cheetahs while listening to their puring, I won't be ablo to play with my sweet vervet monkeys and the two brat baboons!
Although beeing able to go out and eat whatever I want and having a hot shower whenever I want, is great! It really doesn't make up for all the things I don't have anymore! But I'll be back, and it will be great! But for now I have to turn the page and start the next chapter of my journey! Tomorrow morning I leave for Oz,Sydney and I'm so exited about it! I have a loooong plane ride ahead of me, but hopefully I'll get an ok seat and there'll be some good movies to watch!

i've been out buying some souveniers and I'm now trying to figure out how to get them home! Also some people are watchiong zoolander behind me, might watch too! haven't watched tv in a month! haven't missed it either though!

lions and cheetahs and ex rugby pros, oh my!

So Sunday was a great day really=) The bushmen are really religious so Sundays are an off day, however not completely off for everyone, 3 per team has to do the foodprep and the rest get the day off=) I was one of the people who got an off day,Yey! I needed it! I spent the morning reading and sunbathing, it is so friggin hot here! Then I spnt some time with the vervets and the dogs=)
At 11 I joined a few of the other volunteers for Sunday church, a very cool experience! There’s dancing and singing and so much more passion then what I’m used to! The priest talked in Africans, but schulks wife,Jo, translated it for us! The church has no door and no alls, so Klippi the giraffe joined us, sticking her head in for some pets, then going around the other side and peeing with her butt towards us, pretty hilarious!!

After church we had lunch and at we all met down at the farm for rugby!! I’ve never plaid before, ad it was so much fun! However I was on the team that was playing against Schulk, Scary!!! W were al like, go for his legs!! But that proved to be quite difficult. Anyway, we lost and the looseres had to drink a shot called jegerbomb, jegermiester, vodka and Tabasco sauce!! Disgusting, but then we all were allowed to jump in the guest pool, our pool is just big enough for two people standing straight this pool however was bigger and so lovely=) I really was just an awesome day=)

Monday was not a good day, there were a few accidents, one guy got bitten real bad by this psycho zebra! He had to go to the hospital and all! It looks like a huge lovebite!!!
Nothing exiting happened to me, but at lunch we were having hot dogs, and all of a sudden one of the ostridges (heather or feather,can’t tell them apart) grabbed a bun and you could see it in her throat!! It was funny to look at, then we tried chasin he raway,but it didn’t work! She stuck her head through the kitchen door and stole leftovers!!

Today, I went on a lion walk with the 3 brothers, 3 hours in the bush only 40 minutes spent on our feet! They are so so lazy!! But got a bunch of good pictures though=) haha

Going to eat lunch now, it so hot, think I’ll have to swim later!

Cast away

So it’s getting much colder now in the mornings, which makes getting up a bit harder..=S And there’s clouds in the sky!! Haven’t seen clouds in weeks! But that also calls for very pretty sun rises=) So Since I wrote you last this has happened:
I have done more farmwork! However, there was a little drama this time!! While we were working Marnus drives up to us, says that there are some wild dogs loos and gives us a radio so we can call him if we see them! So we carry on working for about 15 minutes when suddenly a whole bunch of springboxes race across the bush! And after them 4 wilddogs!

Behind them again there’s a truck that manages to send the dogs our way, and down to the waterhole we’re working on…SCARY!!! So we keep backing away,never turning our backs, as they roam around drinking, playing with the bucket I left and so on! We were probably standing still like statues for ten minutes until to other cars came, the one drove up to the dogs, dropped a piece of meat on a string, and lured them with them!

So we were three people left behind, shoked at what had just happened!
It was pretty cool though=P haha

Then later I went on a baboonwalk, and learned a whole deal about them! They’re quite interesting=) And these particular baboons were quite nice too! No biting or attacking=)

Wednesdays are lappa night days, in the eenign we go down to the main lappa and have a party-theme party which sort of also is a goodbye party for those leaving on Thursday! This time the theme was “cast away”, every one had to dress up as a cast away=) It was great fun, I ripped up a t shirt and my swimming shorts, hairsprayd my hair and put sticks in it! Then I rolled around in the dirt=) I really had a great night, people were really creative and just having fun=)
The day after some people left, none that I had gotten close to, so that was good=) Then I got the opportunity to go to town, bought some more candy and soda and got to see civilization again for few hours, also had a cheeseburger=) Mhmmmm, not as good as I’d hoped though…

Then I cleared a watering hole, cause we’re making a new one!

I’ve fallen for the vervit monkeys, they are so cute and funny1 they jump around on ou, and play with you and stuff=)

Today I got bitten by Martha the youngest lion cub, she’s a real princess that one! Get’s food on a silver platter!!

I’ve also got a blister on my finger from making necklaces and bracelets, I was just minding my own business making one the other day, and in the last 2 days I’ve made 8! Everyone wants one, it’s pretty cool though, that they like them and all=)

I’m also sunburnt, my heals are cracking and there are a lot more bugs out now then there was one week ago!

We got 8 newbees today, one Danish guy who’s 21, he’ll be my new target=P haha

Oh, and there just arrived a new puppy=) a blond lab, and it’s the most adorable thing ever!!!! Whenever I see it, I run over grab her (Leila is her name) and cuddle her for hours!! I also found goeters (my favourite old cheetah) weakness, he loves being rubbed behinf the ears, and scratched on his cheeks and nose!!

The to ostridges heather and feather, keep trying to get into our kitchen, every time I see them, one of them is being pushed out the kitchen door!

My back hurts and I over ate, going to bed now=)

farmwork!!

Farmwork day today!
So today I had to do farmwork! Farmwork varies from day to day, and today it was weeding out all the bushes surrounding the waterhole near our camp! We also had to clear al the stones that were there and put them around the wateringhole. That was ok work, I got to listen to my ipod and it was not so hot out either. Unfortunately we got another task halfway trough our firt one. This was much worse! There are to new baboon enclosures that we needed to clean! Take out all the leftover wires, all the logs and trahs, and it was soo hot=( It was awful!!

We got chicken burgers for lunch=) So good, yum! After lunch I went on a baboon walk which was really nice. We took them out into the bush, and they plaid around the trees, and it was so nice to watch=) I also learned a great deal about them from Marnus, our “leader” who has a birthday today, he turnes 27=) So we made a card and banner, and everyone pitched in for beer for him=P haha

So I’m reading The Notebook, and it is so lovely!! Im really enjoying it, but it’s really making it worse being 48 girls!!! Ohh, but I saw this pretty cute guy by the guest pool today, unfortunately working guest cant really bee with the gust! Oh well, I can look=) haha

So dinner soon, and we also get cake!!! Yey, the cake here isn’t that good though, I make much better cake=) haha

I’m covered in dirt, though I had a tan..NO!
I spent some time with the vervit monkeys today, they are so cute, running around, jumping on you, grooming you! And they are so cute, when I’m grroming them they sorta fall asleep and lay on their back so I can rub their tummies =P haha

Olympics

Ok, so what has happened since Friday??
We got a bunh of newbies,3 more Norwegians one more Kathrin and one guy! Booooring!!!=(
Sleepout was so fun though!!! We got some mattresses and some old sleepingbags and went in to the encloseur, and the minute I lay down my mattress one of the chetthas was on it puring and licking my face!! So adorable and sniky! She only wanted my mattress and sleepingbag! But I got a small corner and enough sleepingbag to cover my feet=) There were a tottall of 4 cheethas on the five of us! All puring and licking,haha.

But there was sooo many noises, pigs screaming,irds chirping, sheep bhaaing and so on! Off! But I got a little sleep anyway, and the only part of me that froze was my nose!!
I think I will do it again, but not for a few day, need some sleep!=)

I went on a lion walk with the 3 brothers today, they were all playing around and attacking the dog,eachother and us the entire time!!! But they know not to use their claws. Also, we just shouted “Han” and that stopped them from jumping on us! The one newbe guy got srathed though…never turn your back on them!!!

Yesterday we had Harnas Olympics-and we called our team “Harnas Hooligans”.
We did sack race and egg race like we do on 17th of may in Norway.We did toug of war, but the rope broke! We also had dung spitting contest=P Everyoe had to take a piece of sprinbo dung in their mouth and try and spit the farthest! The dung didn’t taste much=)

Then the last task was one person had to be in the pool where there werer bunches of nuts and one person had to run between the team and the pool with one nut at the time trying to fin the one that fit the bolt the team was holding.!

We didn’t win=(

Later I had to do foodprep with the newbies, quite interesting that I am teaching the newbees what I learn not even a week ago!!

I also walked the babies again, but really it wasn’t a walk, they walked five minutes, then found a tree and laid dow. So I laid down on one of them, and there we staid the entire time=P The lions are really just like big cats, so cute=) I can’t quite belie hat I get so much responisibility, and so much time with the animals.! And I never thought I’d be walking lions, definitely not sleeping with me head and arms around them!!

We had stick bread and barbeque on Saturday, sooo good=) We get quite a bit of bread here, not good for my body!!!=( and it’s like boller bread=P haha

I really want Norwegian chocolate,and I want ice cream and a cheeseburger!!

The mosquitoes are making an appearance latly, so I using the spray like perfume, just spraying and spraying!! But they also have these really nasty big flies here, that bite!!! I hate them!!! It’s spring here now, so we set the time an hour later and now we have to wok an hour more wbtween breakfast an lunch..

And it’s getting so so hot here!! I melting!!
And their out of coke, sprite and fanta!!!=(

Other than that, everything is good! Had a slight fallout with my team leader, women!!!! They get on my nerves!!

Oh, and yesterday, we could see the milkyway and the sky was covered in stars!! I’ve never ever seen so many stars! It as amazing!!!

There’s an evil squirrel running around camp attacking people, so everyone is really scared of him. His name is Godzilla! Once he’s got his eye on you, you won’t get away!!

Anyway, I need a shower, I’m covered in dirt and my hair is filthy!!
Found a way of saving money on the internet thing, I write my blog on word, then I connetct copy and paste!! Wola 15 minuts turned to 3!!=)

So u might here more frequently from me now! However no pictures until Australia, for some reason either the internet is to sow or something, it just wont upload, not to face,blog,hotmail or snapfish=( Bummer
Oh, and I also now am in charge of the pythons,so facinating=)

Lion Roars!

Imagine waking u and falling asleep to the sound of lions roaring! That's what i do!!=)
It's freeeezing during the night and nice and toasty during the day!My task range from feeding cheethas and baboons to walking lions and helping on tours! I'm up eveeryday at 6 wide awake because i go to sleep at latest 8!!
Theres a lot ofworkto do around here, and you get a lot of responsibility right away!!
I have quite a few bites and scratches already, but nothing major!!
In my fri time, i play with lion cubs, sleep rest with 8 month lions-litterally laying on top of them, while they also have a siesta! I also play with the 20 dogs and cats, the zebra and cow on the lawn! There are also 2 crocodials that don't really move a lot!

Yesterday we were out i the bush learning about survival scills, really cool!!!
There are so many amazing peole here, 5 Norwegians and 3 kathrins!! Cooool!
We are 27 people now, 25 more are arriving today!! With the 2 guys arriving today, there are a tottal of 5 boys,the rest are girls!!!
The guy runing this place-Sculk- is a 3 thime world cup rugby chmpion!! And pretty cute!=P

Every day, i have to prepare food for the animals, dig my hands through disgusting leftovers and cut up donkey meat! I'm starting to get used to it now!!

Tonigt me and 4 other friends are sleeping out with 4 cheethas- i was told to bring etra matresses and sleeping bags because the heethas push us of and take them for them selves!!

The best sound in the world is the cheetahs puring!! it's amazing!! I'm so privilaged to be here!! No zoo,no park, no nothing will ever be able to compete!!
i'm filthy dirty every day, all day and i Love it!! The showers are cold except for the evenings, but then my hair gets all static!!
i'm out of underwear and socks! So need to do some londury!!
We get fed at 7, 12 and 6 and thats all!! The food is actually pretty good! And on wednesdays there's always a party and really good food down at the main farm where the guest stay-it's a goodbye party for everyone leaving the next day! Each thursday people leave, each friday new people come!

When i get out of the shower or toilet there just might be a giraf or horse or springbok outside !!!

This is so amazing!!!!!!

Monday was great and exhausting!!
First i wnt on a walk with the four babie lions (8 months and big brantz!!!) well we got drpped off a bushman church in the bush, and the church has no walls or door, so thelions ran in and strated to fight over a blanket! and hat's where they stayed the whole hour we were supposed to be walking!! They are very cute though!!

Then we had fear factor-whih was aweful!! We didn't get lunch and we had to eat the leftovers that we feed the baboons, plus cat and dog food!!! Ewww! then we had to drink sour milk that we give the hyina, then we had this task where we got a riddle,thw riddle waas the name of a dog which we then had to run and get, run back with and then find a bottle at the bottom of a green pond! then one member had to drink the contens whih was really eeky!!

Then we had to go in to the baboon cage and dig up a bottle of coke which we had to drink and then get out!! It was scary!

Then we were driven out to the wild cheethas, given a donkey legg and told to bring it to the other side of the encloseur! There were over 20 heethas in there!!!! Tht was the final task! my team didn't win=(

Luch time now!!

Tomorrow I'm sleeping out with the four tame cheeethas=) Can't wait!!!!

Today i fed cheetahs and mongrooses and baboons,and birds,dogs,donkeys a hyina and tomorrow i can go into anyone of the cages and sit with them and cose with them=) Can't wait!!!!!!!=)

AMAZING!!!!!

Ok! ike wow wow wow wow wow!!! This is so amzing!

But first of all, the supposedly 3 hour drive from windhoek to Hrnas took 8 hour!!! Ugh=( Aweful! But we stoped at one point and there to meetus was "Frikki" the working guest "boss" and his lion cub Martha!!! She was just running arond loose, eploring the cars and stuff! Really cute=) I got to have her in my lap later that eening=) She`s a bit shy though=P

So when we got here! Wow it`s an unbeliveable place! So vast and quite, no cars or any other sound except animal noises, an lots of it! It`s so wonderful=) We got our cabins, i'm sharing with 3 other girls who are all leaving net week!!!
oh crap, got to go!! Will write more later if i can!!!

Ok, back but not for long!

So we got a lot of info yesterday loads and loads, then we had a good dinner-fish and potatoes=) And they hae a rating system here, we rate the food=P haha
Later we sat by a huge bonfire before we all went to bed at 8 ish..aparently we al get so tired that it's quite normal to do so!@
I went to sleep fast, t was quite cold actually! Woke up a few times, but was fine!!
Woke up at 6 got up went to l=the loo, watched the sunrise and suddenly a family of 4 giraffes arrived! Watching me carefully as they were making their way to the waterhole! Amazing!!

Then we ate breakfast at 7 while looking over at the girrafes, the wallabees, the deer and some small birds! We then got a tour of the farm the anmals are s amazing!! Can't wait to monday, from monday on I'm allowed to go into the animals at anytime and just sit and coze with them=) So cool1 And from friday we can do sleep outs with some of the animals! i'm gonna sleep out with the cheetahs and lions=)

i made3 a friend today! Roger the baboon1 i groomed him and petted him, apparently he can be quite nasty, but not so far=)

We got put in to groups of 4, and each group has resposibilyty for certain animals! My group has some of the cheetas, 2 baboons, dogs, a hyina, donkeys, meerkats, a monkey whos an alcoholic, a one eyed owel and i think that's all1 Tomorrow we are feeding them for the first time!!=)

We also have fire duty today, witch is why i had to leave! Fire to heat up wter for showers and clening up dishes!!!

Well foood is here now, I'm starving! Will blogg in a few days!!!

Day 2..

Ok, so I'm sorry it took this long! Have had a long day!



First of all yesterday: Didn't do much, was really out of it! Sleepy, homesick and so on! So basicly i went into town bought dinner at KFC, bough soda and snacks at a store and went home to eat. Then I spent the rest of the evening in front of the tv watching different movies! Butchers wife for one, pretty cute! Then I went to bed, Woke up at 4 was feeling kinda sick, and had no water( stupid me forgot to buy!) So I rolled around for an hour before I fell asleep.



Got up at 9, which i later found out was 8 because the time here is one hour behind!! Silly silly me! So there is continental breakfast with the room, so I ate some toast with peanutbutter and drank melon juice-pretty good actually=) I sat down with two girls who I've gotten to know-Kathrine and...oh can't remember the last one! They're from Germany-really nice girls! They had just arrived and were waiting for their rooms! We decided to meet up later and go shop together. So when I met up with them later, they had moved in with 3 of the people I was going to Harnas with! Adrian from America, Urisch from Austria and Andrew from Australia! Awesome people, so we all went to the shopping center together and bought food! They warned us not to bring bags or camereas to town, cause we would stick out as tourist and might get robbed! So no fotos from town=(



When we got back we played some games and got to know eachother.

Later two people who had just been to Harnas arrived-Brent from Canada and Carriana from Germany( a lot of germans here!!!) They told us bunches of info on Harnas and what we were going to do ansd see and stuff!!! And man am I excited=D Can't wait!



Later me and brent and Andrew made pizza=) Very tasty even though some of the chees chunks didn't melt=P



We've really just spent the whole day chatting and having fun=) So I'm feeling a lot better now=)

Namibia-I'm here!

So after a long couple of days of travelling I'm finaly here at chamelon Backpackers IN Namibia. It was an ok flight, First 3 hours to London where pretty boring, I bought some snacks and magazines when i got to Heathrow where i spent 2 hours! On the plane to Johannesberg I ate and watched hanna Montana before I went to sleep=P Sorry Julia, I know you hate that i Like hanna=P Anyway I woke to a full english breakfast, mushrooms, bacon, eggs, sousage-couldn't really eat that much though...was so out of it! Then I spent a few hours at the Airport, A big cool airport with lots of cute shops! Unfortunatly I couldn't by anything! Anyway I met 2 americans who were doing a church thinig in Windhoek, they invited me to come and see one night, I might do it..

In windhoek my bags were waiting, Luckily none of them where missing- yes i had to take 2 bags! I regret it now! They're bloody heavy! Oh and I've picked up a slightly brithish accent because everyone here has it! Fun fun fun!

I got picked up at the airport and together with another couple we were driven 30 min to the Chamelon backpackers. It's not quite what i expected, but then again I expected not to have my expectations met=P Haha

My room's nice though, big and nice-will post some pictures later! I also over heard some sweeds, think I'll try and make a conection=P

Anyway, I think they said the mall closes at 5 or 6 so if I want any food or drink the rest of the night, I better get going! Will blog more later!

I'm leaving on a jet plane...

So tomorrow it is's departure time! My plane leaves at 16.55 and I have a stopover in London and Johanesburg before I'm finally there! I'm really nervous now, I feel I still have lots of things to work out and pack, but I can't figure out what! I really can't fit anymore into my bag anyway..

Now, I'm not sure when I'll be able to blog again! i think there's internet at the hostel, so there might be a post here by wednesday evening!

Wow, I'm feeling really sentimental right now :S It's gonna be tough getting on that plane tomorrow! Real tough..

But dudes, I got to get some sleep, otherwise tomorrow will be even tougher!!=(

23 Days..

yup, so 23 more days until I'm off! My backpack is packed, I'm just mising a few essential things; water purifier and mosquito net! Don't want any creepy crawlers sleeping with me!! Also I need a sunhat for when I'll be out in the sun, getting a tan with the lions and giraffs=)

Oh, and i just got my cellphone number for oz, I'll write he number further down;) Remember: DON'T CALL ME!!!! It's expensive, send me a text if you miss me=)
The first month when I'm in Namibia you can sill send me text to my original number!

So I'm trying to get the last details for my trip sorted out, my budget, my packing, my blog, trying to see my friends and family members as much as possible before I leave aswel as work a bit so I don't end up on the streets over there:P
